Since autumn 2008, the Edmonton Chante Festival has become an absolutely must-see for all music-lovers thanks to its new urban concept!

For its fourth edition in Old Strathcona, the festival will spread itself out over ten days, from September 22nd to October 1st 2011. A multitude of venues are getting ready to accommodate the incredible artists the festival is bringing to town. Over 50 free shows will be presented in establishments all along Whyte Ave (82nd avenue), from rock to pop and from indie to hip hop

As a festival-goer, you will have the option of attending any one or more of the shows in familiar settings: bars, bistros and restaurants that we all know and love. Discovery and musical diversity is the name of this festival’s game, so feel free to surprise yourself with an unfamiliar artist or a different style of music every night!

We also suggest that you pick up your very own official Edmonton Chante button (six super cool models to collect)! They are $1 each and are sold in all of the festival’s official venues one hour before and during each show, as well as at the Société Edmonton Chante offices (#102, 8627-91st).
